Obituary

BEVERLY - Mrs. Becky Lynn (Aubin) Center, age 58, of Beverly, Massachusetts, left this world far too soon, as her life was taken suddenly at her home on Monday, November 3, 2025.

Born in Plattsburgh, New York, she was the daughter of Joan (Cross) Aubin and Leo D. Aubin. She was raised and educated in Elizabethtown, New York, and graduated from Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School. She went on to attend Plattsburgh State College, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Becky's passion for service lives on through her son, Walker Michael Center, who will soon complete his own Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and pursue a career in law enforcement.

An honorably discharged veteran, Becky proudly served her country as a member of the United States Coast Guard. She took immense pride in her service, and that legacy continues through her son William Austin Center V, who now carries on the tradition in the United States Navy.

Becky worked for over two decades with the Essex County Sheriff's Department as a Correctional Officer, where she was known for her dedication, compassion, and unwavering sense of duty. She approached her work with integrity and genuine care for the people in her custody and alongside her colleagues. During her time there, she built strong friendships and earned the respect of those who served with her. The relationships she formed throughout her career remained a cherished and enduring part of her life, continuing well into her retirement.

As a longtime resident of Beverly, Becky was a devoted wife to the late William Austin Center IV and mother whose love and care were at the heart of everything she did for her sons William and Walker. She cherished spending time with her family and took great joy in quilting, often sharing her beautiful creations with loved ones. Her family was the center of her world, and she adored her sons, nurturing and supporting them with unwavering love. Becky's warmth, kindness, and devotion will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Becky had an adventurous spirit and was never afraid of a challenge. Whether traveling to new places or simply sitting around a fire pit sharing stories, she brought joy and laughter to every moment. Always eager for new experiences, she loved spending sunny days with friends at cookouts or relaxing by the pool, and especially the beach. Her laughter and warmth left a lasting impression. Her radiant smile could light up any room, reflecting the kindness and love she shared with everyone around her. She has now reunited with her beloved husband in heaven.

Becky is survived by her sons, William A. Center V, his wife JaVonna Center, and Walker M. Center; her mother, Joan (Cross) Aubin; and her sister, Cherilee Welch. May her memory be cherished and eternal, living on in the hearts of all who loved her.
