SALEM – Mrs. Bernarda Pimentel 69, of Salem, beloved wife of Vinicio Pimentel, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, October 10th, 2023 at Salem Hospital following an unexpected medical incident.

Born in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Teofilo and Lucia (Vasquez) Quiroz. She resided and raised her family for many years in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She immigrated to the United States in 2007 making Salem her forever home.

A loving and devoted, wife, mother and grandmother, Bernarda took great pride in providing a warm and welcoming home for her beloved family.

Faith was at the heart of who Bernarda was. She was a devoted communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem and attended Mass regularly. A affectionate and outgoing person, she loved music and dancing and being surrounded by those she found most dear. Orchids, as her favorite flower, were often in her home and she treasured the drama found in her television Turkish soap opera. Above all else she was dedicated to her loving family and will be deeply missed.

Bernarda is survived by her husband, Vinicio Pimentel of Salem, her children, Orquidea Pimentel, Vinicio O. Pimentel and Isabel Pimentel, her granddaughter, Emily Pimentel and many siblings, cousins and extended family.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM, Saturday, October 14th at 8:30 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours Friday, October 13th from 4 to 7 P.M.
