Obituary

PEABODY - Mrs. Betty Louise Johnson, 88, of Peabody formerly of Lexington and Yarmouth Port, beloved wife of the late Charles Homer Johnson, passed away on Thursday, December 19th, 2024 at Brooksby Village Continuing Care with her daughter by her side.

Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Bertha M. (Bergstrom) Johnson. She was raised and educated in West Hartford, CT and was a graduate of Hall High School Class of 1954. Betty continued her education at North Park University in Chicago and received her bachelor's degree in medical technology from Northwestern University, Chicago Class of 1958.

Devoted to her faith, Betty and her husband Homer were active members of the Trinity Covenant Church in Lexington, Cape Cod Covenant Church in Brewster, and most recently the Brooksby Protestant Community. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her greatest joy was her family. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and their many accomplishments and was truly happiest when surrounded by them. She will be deeply missed.

Surviving Betty is her daughter, Carol Wood and her husband, Dixon of Acton and her son, Charles "Chuck" Johnson and his wife, Annie of Annandale, VA, her grandchildren, Alexander Wood, Reagan Chiodo and her husband, Frank, Charlie, Marianna, Michael and Peter Johnson, and 2 nieces. She was also the sister of the late Eleanor Duey.

ARRANGEMENTS: At the request of the family all services are private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS.
