BEVERLY - Mrs. Beverly B. (Ryan) Horowitz, 87, beloved wife of the late Bernard Horowitz and previously, the late Joseph Kulesza, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord at her home on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, with her loving daughter and son-in-law by her side.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Annie (Halko) Ryan. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School Class of 1955 and Burdette School of Business and continued her education at Northshore Community College. She was a longtime resident of Peabody.
Beverly enjoyed her career at United Shoe Machinery Corp and American Shoe Machinery Corp in Human Resources for 33 years, where she was known for her knowledge of the company's benefits, and her strong work ethic. Always the provider and quick to espouse the benefits of labor, Beverly also worked in Access Services at Beverly Hospital for 16 years, and at The Commodore Restaurant for many years.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother (Gram, Bubci) and great-grandmother (G-G), Beverly was happiest enjoying time with family and friends. She had fond memories both far – with trips to Ireland, Greece, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and Hawaii – and near – Good Harbor Beach, Nichols Candies, The Willows, especially Hobbs and Salem Lowe. Beverly's presence was a powerful force, characterized by her fierce dedication to family, and her unwavering commitment to helping others. She was an active Communicant and Eucharistic Minister at the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem and past President of their St. Vincent de Paul Society. Some of her most special memories included pilgrimages for the Parish to Italy, Ireland, the Vatican, Israel and Poland. She was also a past State President and member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. Beverly touched the lives of many with her kindness and respect for others, leaving an unforgettable mark on the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
Surviving Beverly is daughter, Darlene Willnow and her husband Lindle of Beverly, her sons, J. Darrell Kulesza and his wife Jane of Grafton, Wally Kulesza and his wife Mechelle of Sarasota, FL her grandchildren, Nicholas and Alison Willnow of Holden, Benjamin Willnow of Chicago, and Isaac Willnow of Los Angeles, Ryan and Sarah Kulesza of Virginia, Morgan (Kulesza) and Nathan Funk of Virginia, Ashley (Kulesza) and Jesse Laughlin of Maine, and Nathan Kulesza of Florida, Zachary and Maura Kulesza of Grafton; her great-grandchildren, Evie (Evelyn) and Kieran Willnow and Weston, Kennedy and Maverick Kulesza; her niece Dawn (Kielbasa) Apicella of Florida, nephews Dale Connors and wife Susan of Nahant, Mick Connors and wife Kelly of Essex, nieces Theresa (Connors) Jeffries and husband Randy of New Hampshire, Sharon (Connors) Provost and her husband Michael of Gloucester.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, Bernard Horowitz, her former husband, Joseph Kulesza, her beloved sisters Shirley Kielbasa and Faith Connors, her niece Gail (Kielbasa) Magner, and nephews Donald and Steve Connors and great-nephew Desmond Connors.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to Beverly's funeral Mass which will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd. Salem on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 at 10 AM. Please meet directly at the church. Burial is private. Visiting hours in O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations 84 Washington Sq.
