Obituary

DANVERS -Mr. Brian T. Piercey 80, of Danvers, formerly of Everett, beloved husband of Ethel M. (Hodgson) Piercey, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Beverly Hospital with his family by his side. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."- 2 Timothy 4:7.

Born in Montreal he was the son of the late Jacob and Clara (Penney) Piercey. He was raised and educated in Canada and immigrated to the United States with his parents at the age of 18. Upon entering the U.S he enlisted in the United States Airforce and proudly served his new country during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Piercey had been employed as an electrician at Gordon College for over 20 years until the time of his retirement, where he was known for his strong work ethic, his attention to detail and dedication to the college. Prior to he had been employed by New England Medical Center and Polaroid for many years.

A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Brian went out every day to provide for his family sometimes working two or three jobs to make sure they had what they needed or for extra money to take the family on vacation. They enjoyed many camping trips to Littleton, Ma as Brian felt strongly about getting the children out into the country for their favorite camping trips where they would enjoy the many outdoor activities. He and Ethel were thrilled when the grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along and enjoyed being involved in their many activities and milestones.

A long-time member of West Church in Peabody Brian spent countless hours volunteering for whatever needed to be done. He was always willing to lend a hand at church or to anyone in need even taking people into his own home who needed a place to stay. He was a man with a big heart, who worked hard and loved his family and will be deeply missed by them and the many hearts he touched along the way.

Surviving Brian in addition to his wife with whom he shared 58 years of marriage are his children, Sharon Neff and her husband David of Lynn, Donna Beaulieu and her husband Michael of Atkinson, NH, Ronald Piercey of Danvers, and Stephen Piercey and his wife Megan of Toney, AL, his 17 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his 8 brothers and sisters.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 23rd at 10:30 AM at West Church, 27 Johnson Street, Peabody. Assisting the family with the arrangements is O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62) Danvers.
