Rafferty

BOXFORD - Mr. Brian M. Rafferty, 74 of Boxford, beloved husband of Carrie (Smith) Rafferty, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Thomas and Frances (Coyne) Rafferty. He was raised and educated in Lynn and Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School.
Brian began his career as a machinist and completed the GE Apprentice Program. He continued to have a long and successful career with the General Electric Company in Lynn where he worked his way through the ranks to become a Quality Engineer. He was well respected in his field and known for his superior work ethic.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Brian was happiest when fishing, spending time on his boat and exploring the river, marshes and beach at the family summer home on Conomo Point in Essex. Brian was also a passionate sports enthusiast who could recall, players and their statistics for any given sport. You name it he had the answers. He was truly a walking encyclopedia of sports knowledge. A great storyteller coupled with a wonderful sense of humor, Brian loved to entertain family and friends alike with his many stories. He will be deeply missed.
Surviving Brian in addition to his wife, Carrie (Smith), his daughters, Kelley Web and her husband, Jeff of Jackson, WY, Rebecca Rawls and her husband, John of Pensacola, FL and Mollie Rafferty of Bonifay, FL, his grandchildren, Seren, Julian and Rye Web, Nicole and Hannah Collins, Jude, and Beau Rawls, his siblings, Donna Ellis of Peabody and Thomas Rafferty and his wife Marianne of Nashua NH, his sister-in-law, Missy Smith of Gloucester and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Jessica Rafferty.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Saturday, November 5th. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service.
