SALEM – Mr. Brian S. Wideman, 45 of Salem, formerly of Lowell, MA, loving husband of Kevin Wideman, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington.

Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, Brian was the son of Bobby and Rachel Wideman. He was raised in Ninety Six, SC with his brothers Tony and Chuck and sister Savannah.

Brian dedicated his working career to various entities. Before moving to Massachusetts, he worked at his family restaurant T. W. Boon's in Greenwood, South Carolina and for several years in medical records at Self Regional Medical Center. Upon relocating to Massachusetts, Brian devoted his career in the banking industry working for Winchester Cooperative Bank in the property tax and escrow coordination and eventually aspiring to and becoming Team Lead at Target.

A lover of all things Disney, especially Frozen, and Beauty and the Beast, Brian found great joy in the magic of Disney. He was infatuated with the series Once Upon a Time and relished in the details of the show. Brian enjoyed comic-con and many events where he could meet stars in person and join with others sharing similar passions.

Often called the "dog whisperer", Brian had a gentle approach towards animals, especially dogs. He was loved greatly by his previous dogs, 19 ½ year old Gizmo and 15 year old Bailey who knew Brian was their person. Brian enjoyed a simple life, working hard and having fun with his close friends who he loved as family. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his husband, Kevin of Salem; Brian is survived by, his chosen family and friends in the Boston area and their beloved companions, Moe the Beagle and Matteo, his cat. As well Rachel, Bobby, Tony, Chuck and Savannah in Greenwood, SC.
