DENVER, COLORADO- Brittany Middleton 26, of Denver, Colorado, formerly of Peabody died unexpectedly as a result of an automobile accident, February 7th, 2016.
Brittany Lynne Middleton was born in Beverly on October 20, 1989 . She was the daughter of Ellen A. Middleton and Vincent M. Serrentino. She was raised and educated in Danvers and Essex.
Brittany was passionate about music and the arts; she was the only 6th grade girl to play the full set of drums, she later learned electric & acoustic guitar, and in recent years was learning how to play the banjo. A brown belt, second degree in Karate, she won first place in many tournaments before the age of 12. A true athlete, Little League, Softball, Lacrosse & Ultimate Frisbee were all a big part of her young life. Brittany blended her love of sports with her passion for the arts when she discovered fire spinning. She was a founding member of the Beverly based performance group, Spiral Glyphics. She enjoyed self-expression, always appreciated others' gifts, and believed in everyone she met. This fierce love for her friends endeared her to everyone who knew her. She truly ran on love, and she touched many lives through her free and courageous spirit. Her memory will always live on in her extraordinary community she has built across the country though her experiences at Burning Man, her passion for exploration and her curious nature.
Brittany was magnetic; she brought people together, formed friendships, and reconnected loved ones. She spent the last four years of her life in and around Denver and Nederland, Colorado, pursuing her passion for botany and her relationship with plant medicine. Always seeking, constantly learning, her friends described her as pure sunshine.
Brittany is survived by her loving mother, Ellen A. Middleton & her younger brother Branden J. Middleton of Peabody, her uncles; Bruce Middleton & his wife Ronda of Gloucester, Robert Middleton Jr. & his wife Loretta of North Andover, and Gary Middleton & his wife Pam of Attleboro. Her aunts; Julie Moulton & her husband Dana of Beverly, Kathy Tanzer & her husband Ronald of Peabody, & was predeceased by her aunt Linda DeCoulos, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews & cousins including John and Kelly DeCoulos. In addition to her doting family members, Britt left behind her two loving and devoted dogs, Travis and Clyde. She had an incredible network of friends who cared about her tremendously. She was a truly remarkable young woman. Only with the help of my 3 musketeers-Kate Peterson, Annie Boylan Gale & Lindsey Rose was this wonderful obituary even possible.
To our little fire cracker we love you to the moon and we will see you in the stars.
