EXETER, NH – Bruce Augustine Bourinot, 97, of Exeter, formerly of Beverly, loving husband of the late Jane (Drabinowitz) (Dragonas) Bourinot, died peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026 in Hampton, New Hampshire.

Born in Winchester, he was the son of the late Paul and Anastasia (Rakewicz) Bourinot. Bruce was raised and educated in Winchester, a proud graduate of Winchester High School. Following his graduation, Bruce proudly answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Navy. His commitment to service did not end there, he went on to enlist a second time, this time in the United States Army, from which he was also honorably discharged.

Professionally, Bruce built a distinguished career as an insurance underwriter, working for several agencies over the years, including Peerless, headquartered in Keene, New Hampshire.

In 1962, Bruce’s life was forever changed when he met Jane, a widowed mother of four. He loved her deeply and embraced the role of father without hesitation. Together, they built a full and devoted family life, and their marriage endured for 50 cherished years until Jane’s passing in 2012.

Beyond his family, Bruce was a man of many passions. He was an avid Carom Billiards player, a true woodsman, and an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman. He and Jane were passionate about camping and for many years this was a weekly endeavor for them. Bruce’s favorite destination was Jackman, Maine, a place that called to his adventurous spirit time and again. He loved to run, especially alongside his beloved dog, Lady. Boxing and bowling were also among his lifelong pleasures.

Bruce leaves behind a lasting legacy as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a man of quiet strength, steadfast loyalty, and boundless love, a life well and fully lived.

In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Bruce is predeceased by his granddaughter, Christie Sefcik.
