SALEM - Bruce J. Martin of Salem passed away on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 after a long battle with vascular dementia. Bruce died peacefully surrounded by his beloved partner of 15 years, Wendy Shane; children Patrick and Susannah McGee, Brian and Lillian McGee; grandchildren Jack, Jane, Moon, and Honey; and his brother Paul.

Bruce was a gracious and kind man, well liked by everyone who met him. He is survived by a host of friends and family across the country who brought meaning and richness to his life, including his childhood friend Rick Nicita; the gang from Mamaroneck High School Class of '63; Jesse, Zoe, Nick, Olivia, and Bobbe.

His family is particularly grateful for the extraordinary care, compassion, and support provided by caregivers Fritz Ritter, Martha Neenan, and the staff at Devereux House, making it possible for his loved ones to bask in Bruce's love and affection for as long as they did.

ARRANGEMENTS: Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruce's memory may be made to the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF).
