Obituary

DANVERS - Mrs. Carol J. (Moore) Csongor, age 83, of Danvers, beloved wife of the late Frank Csongor, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

Born on February 26th, 1942, in Chelsea, Carol was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Clark) Moore. She was raised in Chelsea and proudly graduated from Chelsea High School.

Carol was a truly devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose boundless love and warmth embraced everyone fortunate enough to step into her life. To Carol, there were no strangers—only new hearts to welcome into her ever-growing family. Her greatest joy came from the laughter and togetherness of her children, grandchildren, family and extended family, as they gathered to celebrate life's milestones and create cherished memories.

As a mother, Carol believed in teaching her children the value of hard work and responsibility. She taught her children the importance of kindness, compassion, and caring for others, shaping them into the thoughtful, loving individuals they are today.

Carol wasn't just Mom to her children. She was everyone's Mom! Her nurturing and welcoming persona made everyone feel at home. Her laughter, singing and smiles will linger in everyone's hearts forever. Carol also didn't shy away from the "tough stuff"! When someone she loved was in need, she was right there lifting them up with her fierce love and support. She was the rock you turned to for comfort, guidance, and unconditional love—always there with open arms, ready to listen and support. Her love was a steady presence in the lives of all who knew her, a love that was deep, generous, and unwavering.

Christmas held a special place in Carol's heart, not only because of the festive spirit but also because it was her husband's birthday. Though she made every holiday magical, Christmas was when her love for her family shone brightest. Each room was thoughtfully arranged, making everyone feel at home and creating a magical place for family and friends to relax and enjoy each other's company bringing her energy, humor and zest for life into every family gathering.

Her devotion to her family knew no bounds. While we will deeply miss her, the love, her wisdom, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind will continue to guide and inspire us. Carol's legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion will forever live in our hearts.

Carol is survived by her loving children: Susanne Csongor of Quincy, Diana Butler of Danvers, Richard Csongor and his wife Heather of Peabody, MA, Catherine Gauthier and her husband Edward of Georgetown, she will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Meaghan, Nicholas, Gabrielle, and Bretton, who will carry forward her spirit of nurturing and celebration. She is also survived by her siblings, Edward Moore and his wife Goldie of Saugus, and Janie Moore of Rhode Island. Carol was predeceased by her son, Frank "Desi" Csongor, and her brothers, James and David Moore.
