DANVERS - Mrs. Carol A. (Murphy) Cardella 80, of Beverly, formerly of Danvers, beloved wife of the late Joseph Cardella, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 18, 2018 at her home. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Coughlin) Murphy. She was raised and educated in Charlestown and was a graduate of Charlestown High School. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Carol was a long-time resident of the Town of Danvers. She was an avid reader and an active and devoted Catholic. She volunteered much of her time to St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Danvers where she was a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Above all else family always came first. She will be deeply missed. Carol is survived by her daughters, Joanne Putnam and her husband Dana of Danvers, Gerrie Cahill and her husband Jim of Beverly and Carolyn Cardella and her spouse Cheryl Guarino of Lowell, her son, Joseph Cardella of Salem, her 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, her sister Rose Mary Stockman and her husband Bob, her brother-in-law, Eugene Kelly of Abington and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Harry and Thomas Murphy and Jane Easty, Nancy Kelly and Sheila Lahey.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Mass which will be held in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St.., Danvers, Wednesday, Jan. 24th at 9 A.M. Burial is private. As requested visiting hours omitted. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers.
