"Chick" Dodge
April 14, 1940 – January 15, 2018
BEVERLY - Mr. Charles G. "Chick" Dodge, 77, of Beverly, beloved husband of Claire (Woodberry) Dodge, died peacefully in his sleep after a lengthy battle with several illnesses at his home on Monday, January 15, 2018.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Harcourt W. and Germaine E. (Deschamps) Dodge. He was raised and educated in Beverly and Hamilton and attended local schools.
An honorably discharged veteran, Chick proudly serviced his country as a member of the United States Navy Sea Bee's.
Mr. Dodge had been employed as a Manager by A.D.T. Security for several years until the time of his retirement.
Chick loved music and was a talented guitarist and vocalist and recently was learning to play the Ukulele. He enjoyed the serenity of his Koi pond and spending time with his loving family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and many friends.
In addition to his loving wife Claire with whom he shared 53 years of marriage Chick is survived by his sons, Garvin Dodge and his wife Deanna of Langley, Washington and Glenn Dodge of Beverly, his brother, James Dodge of Dover, NH and his sister, Nancy Hayes of Danvers, his grandchildren and nieces and nephews who he loved very much.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in the Peterson O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte 62) Danvers on Monday, January 22nd at 12 noon. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Chick's memory to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
