PEABODY – Mrs. Chelsea Laine (McCarthy) Cupo 29, of Peabody, beloved wife of Zachary Joseph Cupo, died unexpectedly, January 16 ^th , 2022 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a medical incident.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of Frederick John McCarthy and Karen Ann Pierce. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, class of 2010. She was currently a student at Southern New Hampshire University and previously earned her Medical Assistant Degree from Porter and Chester.

Mrs. Cupo was employed with the Northshore Physicians Group at the time of her passing.

Chelsea was a loving mother, wife and daughter. She endeared herself to many and had a large group of friends to which she was always loyal and there for each and every one of them when they were in need. Her friends truly meant the world to her and supported her throughout her life. She had a true artistic talent and soul. She expressed this talent through her amazing ability to make candles and dreamed of owning her own candle business one day. She appreciated completing puzzles and finishing Lego projects. A true romantic, Titanic was her all-time favorite movie and she could quote every line. She loved Tinkerbell and Halloween was her favorite holiday and she especially relished celebrating with her two nieces.

In her passing, Chelsea gave the gift of life to others through organ donation. Her gift has had immediate impacts on the life of others. Just as she was giving in life, she continues to give in her passing.

A new mother to Anastasia, her beloved 9-month-old, Chelsea's legacy will live on through her daughter. She was kind, loving, beautiful and soulful and now an angel to watch over us all. Being a mother was the greatest joy in her life.

Chelsea is survived by her husband, Zachary Joseph Cupo of Goffstown, N.H., her daughter, Anastasia, her parents, Frederick John McCarthy and Karen Ann Pierce of Peabody, her brothers, Ryan McCarthy and his wife, Brenda of Beverly and Tyler McCarthy and his fiancé, Marissa Moore of Peabody, her dear cousin who was like a sister to her, Kendra Stepenuck of Las Vegas, NV, her niece, Danielle McCarthy and niece, Brooke Stepenuck and many dear friends and extended family.
