IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christine Yolanda
Corona
January 10, 1966 – June 10, 2023
PEABODY - Ms. Christine Y. Corona, 57, of Peabody, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10th, 2023, at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family, following a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Born in Granbury, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Odelia (Elizondo) Corona. She was raised and educated in Granbury and was a graduate of Granbury High School. Christine continued her education receiving her associate degree in nursing from Wharton Junior College.
A gentle and kind caregiver, Christine worked for many years as a traveling nurse. She and her family toured the United States as she worked throughout the country. Prior to her retirement due to illness, she had been employed at Care One at Essex Park in Beverly for several years where she made friends with many of the patients, families, and staff.
Her care and devotion for her patients was only surpassed by her love for her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She relished the time spent with her family but was over the moon when the grandchildren arrived. She showered them with love and affection and was grateful for the joy they brought to her life. She was a mom too many, she was always there to give a hug, word of encouragement or advice. Christine loved to write stories, read and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She was strong, generous, and possessed a great sense of humor that endeared her to many. Christine will be forever remembered as the most amazing mom and grandmom, her beautiful smile, and the love she had for her family and will be deeply missed by them and all the hearts she touched throughout her life.
Surviving Christine are her daughters, Michelle Danforth and her husband, Joel of Salem, and Johnnie Llanes and her partner, Lacey Thompson of Gloucester, her son Nicholas Kelly of Appleton, WI, her grandchildren, Jayden Llanes and Lillian Jean Kelly, her sisters, Rita Corona Rainbolt and Diana Corona, her 3 nieces Sylvia, Norma and Vanessa all of Granbury, TX.
