Christopher J. Brennan

MILLIS - Mr. Christopher J. Brennan, 74 of Millis, formerly of Danvers, beloved husband of the late Sandra M. (Foley) Brennan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Medford, he was the son of the late Jerome and Olive (Magee) Brennan. He was raised and educated in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1969. Christopher continued his education, receiving his bachelor’s degree in history from Clark University in 1973 and his master’s degree in public administration from the University of Rhode Island in 1975.

A gifted athlete throughout his high school and college years, Christopher was a standout member of the Medford High soccer, basketball, and baseball teams. He proudly served as captain of his basketball team during his senior year, leading the Mustangs to the Division 1 State Finals tournament at the Boston Garden. He continued his passion for basketball and baseball throughout college, playing all four years while at Clark.

Christopher dedicated over 30 years to higher education, serving as the Dean of Business and Workforce and Associate Provost at Middlesex Community College, where he earned the respect of colleagues and students alike. His influence in the academic community reflected his belief in the power of education, and he committed himself to providing meaningful support to all students. Prior to his retirement, Christopher was the director of Middlesex Community College Career Place in Woburn for several years. In 2021, he was awarded Emeritus status from MCC, which was a tremendous point of pride for him.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Christopher was happiest when surrounded by his children and grandchildren, and being involved in their many activities– you could often find him cheering them on from the sidelines and celebrating their many accomplishments. He embraced his role as a father and brought laughter to his family with his willingness to be the good-natured receiving end of many jokes. Christopher was quick to make friends with almost anyone, and was incredibly dedicated to the numerous lasting connections he made throughout his time, many becoming life-long friends. He loved to travel, having visited many countries around the world as well as almost all 50 states in the U.S. He had a love for animals, and particularly cherished his many family dogs over the years. Christopher will be forever remembered for his dedication to education, his love for his family, and his kind and generous spirit, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving Christopher is his life partner Jodi Freedman, his children, Derek Brennan and his wife Alliane of Beverly, Evan Brennan of Danvers, and Samantha Adair and her partner Matthew Adair of Dover, NH, his grandchildren, Sadie and Dalton Brennan and Amelia and Alice Adair, his siblings, Lawrence Brennan and his wife Cindy of Beverly and Peter Brennan and his wife Cheryl of Methuen and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at O’Donnell Cremations - Funerals - Celebrations, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62), DANVERS, on Monday, February 16th, from 4 to 7 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to Christopher’s funeral Mass which will be held at St. Richard's Church, Forrest St., Danvers, on Tuesday, February 17th at 10:30 am. Burial will be private.
