GROVELAND - Mr. Christopher F. Hatt 55, of Groveland, beloved husband of Robin (Thrower) Hatt, died unexpectedly Monday, April 8, 2019 following a valiant battle with cancer. Born in Danvers, he was the son of the late Priscilla (Martin) Hatt. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Essex Agricultural School, class of 1982. Mr. Hatt was the founder and proprietor of North Shore Landscape Company since 1985 and was currently still the owner and manager. He worked alongside his sons in more recent years and this brought him great joy. A loving husband and devoted father, Chris had a deep love of the ocean, the beach and sailing. He was a true explorer by nature and this innate wanderlust brought him to fall in love with many parts of the world especially the beautiful beaches of the Caribbean. He enjoyed Vermont in the fall and camping outdoors and was lucky and smart enough to combine his passion of the out of doors with his professional career thus he never felt as if he worked a day in his life. He loved cut flowers, the smell of cut grass and above all else being with his beloved wife and two sons. A prolific reader, Chris enjoyed a variety of subjects and titles of written word. He shared this passion with his sons. He was a free spirit, with a unique mind, who loved Jimmy Buffett music, could create or fix anything and was truly devoted to his family. Chris is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Robin (Thrower) Hatt, his sons, Collin Hatt and Jacob Hatt all of Groveland and many extended family and friends. He was the beloved grandson of the late Fred C. Martin.

ARRANGEMENTS: In honor of Chris and his colorful spirit his family requests that you dress casual in bright colors when attending his services. His funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers, Wednesday April 17th at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Visiting hours Tuesday April 16th from 5 to 7 P.M. and prior to the service Wed. April 17th from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.
