IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christopher R.
Swindell
December 18, 1986 – May 20, 2025
DANVERS – Christopher Ryan Swindell, 38, of Danvers, formerly of Seabrook, NH, passed away on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025 due to complications of pneumonia, at Lahey Hospital of Burlington surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Beverly, Chris was the son of James "Jim" V. Swindell and Cynthia L. (Ardini) Hayward and stepson to Darlene Sherry and Jack Hayward. He was raised and educated in Danvers, graduating from Danvers High School, Class of 2004.
Chris worked as a carpenter, performing residential construction alongside his father for J. Swindell Carpentry of Danvers. Chris took great pride in his profession and worked diligently to create the best work he could for their clients. His clients showed great admiration for Chris, his dedication to the project, his smile and the stories he would regale them with.
An avid gym goer, Chris, could be found lifting weights every day without question, at the Planet Fitness in Danvers. Though his stature was daunting, Chris was a gentle giant, with a kind heart and personable demeanor. A movie buff, Chris enjoyed his free time delving into the worlds of horror and comedy. He adored animals, especially his rescue pup "Kurplunk" as they were the best of friends. His dedication extended far past the gym and his profession; his universe heavily revolved around his children, never missing an event, big or small. Chris' presence and infectious smile will be forever remembered by those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
Chris was excited to be married on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, just weeks before his passing.
In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his children, Vanessa and Wyatt Swindell of Amesbury, his grandmother, Rosie Ardini, his fiancé, Laura Shupp and her parents Buck and Cindy Shupp all of Danvers, his brother, Adam J. Swindell of Greenfield, his sister, Heather Swindell of Salisbury, Shannon Johnson mother of his children of Amesbury, his step-brother, PJ Sherry, his step-sisters, Danielle Duff and Kasey Inocencio all of Danvers, his beloved rescue pup, Kurplunk, affectionately known as "Plunky", along with countless friends and loved ones.
