Claudette T. (Pied) Guzowski

DANVERS – Mrs. Claudette Therese (Pied) Guzowski, 87 of Danvers, and the loving wife of William Guzowski, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Hathorne Hill in Danvers.

Born in Salem, Claudette was the daughter of the late Emile and Cecile (Marquis) Pied. She was raised and educated in Salem, graduating from St. Joseph’s School. She continued her education at North Shore Community College and later Salem State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Professionally, Claudette devoted her career to the healthcare industry, beginning her journey as a Registered Nurse. She pursued further education, becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, which allowed her to thrive in her field. For many years, she served at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and collaborated with various medical professionals throughout Boston. Claudette's expertise was highly sought after, and her commitment to excellence made her a respected figure among physicians and colleagues alike.

Claudette's life was centered around her family, and she dedicated herself to creating treasured memories with them. In 1970, she and her beloved husband, Bill, embarked on a remarkable journey purchasing their brand-new Volkswagen Bus, the vessel for countless family adventures. Over the years, they traveled across the United States and Canada, fostering unforgettable moments that would last a lifetime. Their shared love for travel blossomed in retirement as they explored the world together, visiting diverse countries including China, Poland, Japan, Russia, and France. Claudette’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering support for her family defined her legacy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her beloved husband William of Danvers, Claudette is survived by her children, William J. Guzowski and his wife, Diane of Beverly, Julie Zatkos and her husband, John of Plano, TX and Janet Crosdale and her husband, Fred of Burlington; her grandchildren, Callie, Jake and James and several great-grandchildren. She is survived by siblings, Claire Fulass of Georgetown, Washington DC and Paul Pied of Hudson, NH and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend to attend Claudette’s funeral service which will be held at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Wednesday, September 16th at 11 A.M. her burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. A visiting hour will be held prior to her service from 10 to 11 A.M.
