TOPSFIELD - Colleen Gibson, 93, of Topsfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Beverly Hospital.

Born in Port Washington, Long Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Pauline (Anderson) Gibson. Colleen attended Beverly Nursing School where she earned her certification. She enjoyed a long and successful career at Beverly Hospital and then Salem Hospital where she specialized in respiratory care. Her journey was marked by compassion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the care of others.

Colleen recommitted her life to Adra Miller, whom she loved, cared for, and lived with for fifty years. Together, they remodeled their Topsfield home by adding a garage, deck, and pool. They also delved into their own professional residential interior painting and papering business. Colleen and Adra also worked to resurrect a seasonal community store in Maine. They were quite a team.

Colleen loved God and was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church where she served on its Vestry. She loved children, was "auntie" to children of her extended family, and was a volunteer crossing guard for Proctor School. Colleen loved dogs and, along with Adra, owned many throughout the years including Katie and Minnie. Continuing her service to others, she served on the Topsfield Housing Authority, representing Little Brook Village. In her few quiet moments, Colleen enjoyed painting still life and landscapes.

A beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Colleen's infectious spirit, zest for life, kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.

Colleen is survived by her brother, William Gibson of Lynn, and her dear friend, Adra Miller of Topsfield. Colleen was predeceased by her siblings, Diane Pike and John Gibson.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service which will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 124 River Road Topsfield on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 1 P.M. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will be held at a later date. Assisting the family with the arrangements is O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS.
