BEVERLY – Mrs. Dana Ko Winslow, (Chang Sun Winslow) 86, of Woburn and Beverly, long time companion of Paul Alessio, died peacefully, January 9th, 2025 at Winchester Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, she was the daughter of the late Ko Tok Rok and Kim (Pun) Ko. She was raised and educated in Jeju, South Korea. She immigrated to the United States in 1969, in Seattle, Washington. She moved with her Military husband at the time to Ft. Devens, Massachusetts and began her family. She moved her family to Beverly in 1974 and she has since made it her forever home.

Ms. Winslow began a long and successful career with Varian Technologies in 1976. She worked as an assembler for over 35 years until the time of her retirement in 2011. She loved her job and was well respected by all she worked with.

Dana was the long-time partner of her beloved Paul Alessio of Woburn. They spent over 38 years together enjoying life. She enjoyed games of chance and her trips to Foxwoods. She had a passion for music, especially the pop hits of the 1970's and 1980's and never missed one of her favorite Korean Television dramas of which there were an abundance.

Fiercely proud of her Korean heritage, she enjoyed visiting other Korean communities in New York and other places of travel. Dana made friends from all walks of life. She had a diverse group of friends with whom she treated as family. Her closest friends even earned the moniker of the "3 Musketeers". She loved to entertain and host parties and gatherings and often impromptu visits, turned into large events, where she would cook up a storm of delectable dishes. She was a true people person, who endeared her self to many.

Dana was strong of will loyal, but also a compassionate person who loved to laugh. Her counterparts respected her, her friends and family loved her immensely. It was often remarked, "Nothing could top her personality". She drew people in with her courage of conviction and caring sense of love. She will be deeply missed.

Dana is survived by her long-time partner, Paul Alessio of Woburn, with whom she resided, her son, Randall C. Winslow of Beverly, her daughter, Ae Ja Winslow of Brooklyn, New York, her daughter-in-law, Leighan Winslow of Beverly, her grandchildren, Dashiel W. del Barco of Brooklyn, NY, Alivia Winslow and Logan Winslow, both of Sparta, New Jersey, Paul's brother, Dennis Alessio, Paul's nieces, Lavra and Melinda Alessio who both cared for her deeply.
