SALEM- Mr. Daniel Charles Foster 27, of Salem, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 18, 2015 at his home.

Born in Salem, Dan was the son of Richard D. Foster of Salem and Kathleen M. McCarthy of Pine Island, Florida. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. He continued his education at North Shore Community College and The Peterson Electrical Tech. Daniel studied diligently and earned the title of licensed electrician. He was an employee of Wayne Alarm Systems of Lynn.

Danny was an avid outdoorsman. He was an active skier, fisherman, and hunter; He was devoted to his family and friends. He was a dedicated father and loving fiancé to Heidi.

Daniel is survived by his daughter, Mollie May Foster, his loving fiancé, Heidi Elliott of Salem, his mother, Kathleen M. McCarthy of Pine Island, Florida, his father, Richard D. Foster of Salem, his sister, Renee Pollack and her children, Aiden and Katie of Pine Island, Florida, his maternal grandmother, Doris McCarthy of Reading, his paternal grandmother, Lida Baggett of Wilmington, N.C., and an extended large Irish family and friends. He was the grandson of the late superintendent of the Boston Fire Department, Charles E. McCarthy. He was the loving younger brother of the late Richard C. Foster who passed away in February of 2014.

Danny, Richie and grampy are our guardian angels in Heaven smiling down upon us.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem, Friday, Sept 25th, at 9 A.M. followed by his funeral Mass in St. James Church, Federal St., Salem at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial is private. Visiting hours Thursday, Sept. 24th from 4 to 7 P.M.
