PEABODY – Danielle Suzanne Poirier, 49, of Peabody, died February 14th, 2026, following a powerful and graceful battle with cancer.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Malcolm Daniel and Catherine May (Guyette) Poirier. As a child, her family moved many times for her parents’ careers. During her high school years, she attended Acton Boxborough High School and graduated from Neenah High School in Wisconsin. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota – Minneapolis, graduating with a double major in International Relations and Spanish.
Danielle went on to lead a very successful career in marketing and Sales. Most recently as Director of Sales in the technology and communications industry.
If you knew Danielle, you would know why she was successful in communication. She made friends and followers wherever she went. Mike and Kaitlyn were her “brother and sister” ensuring she never had a need physical or otherwise. Recently, her CrossFit gym friends became her OG’s. This group of friends travelled, threw axes (yes, axe throwing), laughed cried and supported her entire journey. Danielle loved animals, especially dogs and had many canine companions over the years whom she showered with care and affection. She had a habit of rescuing animals wherever she went. She enjoyed skiing, gardening, hiking, travel, good food and great wine.
What was most important to her was her family. She never missed a family gathering and especially looked forward to times spent all together. She relished Christmas, traveling to Georgia just 8 weeks ago to be with her family. There were no limits to Danielle's love for her family. Her friends became brothers and sisters and bonus children to my parents. Her family was always expanding, and although she did not have any biological children, she was a Foster mom to many young teens in need of a safe place. Danielle’s heart was enormous.
Danielle is survived by her parents, Malcolm Daniel and Catherine May (Guyette) Poirier of Georgia, her beloved sister, Nicole Poirier of Dallas, Georgia, her nieces, Taylor Leigh Benge and Catherine “Riley” Benge, her aunt, Evelyn Castner of Waldoboro, Maine and her beloved canine companions, Chester and Sophie, who were her constant companions and best friends.
