SALEM - Darlene T. (Kosek) Palazzi, 65, of Salem, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter to the late Lucie M. (Morin) and Walter T. Kosek. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. Darlene continued her education at Bay Path College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and received her Bachelor's degree in science and business.

A "jack of all trades", Darlene dabbled in various industries, from Call Center Manager for American Airlines to 15 years as an Insurance Executive for Aetna Insurance. She also earned her cosmetology certification, cutting hair for years, acquired her CDL license and her favorite of all, leading yoga classes in various parks around Salem. Darlene had a fearless spirit and infectious determination, when she put her all into something, it would be achieved. She will be forever remembered for her zest for life, her love for family and friends and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving Darlene is her partner, Ivor Burley of Salem, her sister Rosemary Fritz of Salem, her nephews, John "Jack" Sullivan of Salem, Peter "Pat" Kealy of Bangor, ME, and Adam Fritz of Salem. She was also the great aunt to Cole Healey of Lynn MA, and Lily and Meadow Fritz of Salem. She is predeceased by her husband, Andrew Palazzi, her sister, Paula Kealy, and her niece, Christine Kealy.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to Darlene's funeral service which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM.  Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
