Obituary

PEABODY – Mr. David M. Condon 67, of Peabody, retired Lieutenant in the City of Salem Fire Department, beloved companion of Kelly Ferguson, died July 5 th , 2022 at Salem Hospital, following a valiant battle with Scleroderma and lung cancer.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late William Condon and Barbara (Linehan) Roache. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School. He was a life long learner taking many college courses throughout his life.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Mr. Condon was a fire fighter with the City of Salem Fire Department for many years until the time of his retirement. He was well respected by his fellow fire fighters for his dedication to his profession and care and concern for the residents of Salem. He earned the rank of Lieutenant and served in that capacity until the time of his retirement.

A man of great conviction, David always supported those in need. He fought for the rights of many and supported those in their cause for good. He was a long-time member and past Chairman of the Massachusetts Motorcycle Association, fighting for the rights of those who love to ride motorcycles. He was a true freedom fighter and had a deep passion and love of the Constitution of the United States of America. He was very active in the local political scene and well respected throughout the communities of the North Shore and beyond.

Dave had two real passions in life, his family and riding motorcycles. He fought for both in many ways. He treasured riding his Harley, especially with his beloved Kelly by his side. He was a devoted and loving papa who valued his family immensely. He will be deeply missed.
