BEVERLY – Mrs. Diane M. (Eaton) Bochynski, 75, of Beverly, beloved wife of the late Richard “Dick” Bochynski Sr., Died peacefully, Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Gloria A. (Winslow) Eaton. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1968.

Mrs. Bochynski was a teacher at heart and had an inner passion to help others. While her boys were young, she worked as a lunch aide at the Hannah Elementary School in Beverly, where she was also very active in the P.T.O. as President and volunteer. She later started a career with the Tara Montessori Pre-School in Manchester. She began as a teacher with infants and toddlers and matriculated to become the office Administrator of the school, a position she held for many years. The children at the school, became her second family and she nurtured them with all her heart and soul. She loved her job very much as it aligned with her passions of helping and guiding others on their life’s journey.

A longtime resident of the city of Beverly, Diane was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Salem since 1961. She held many positions in the church, from serving faithfully for 15 years as the church’s treasurer, to general secretarial duties, to writing the children’s sermons, Diane was truly woven into the fabric of the life of the church. She is the author of a children’s book, Cassie the Church Mouse, published by the FBC, a frequently used instrument in helping children become closer to God. She devoted much of her time and efforts to the church community as a whole and especially enjoyed her weekly morning prayer group. Her love was an ever-present open door, reflecting the unconditional welcome she found in her own faith.

A caring wife, mother and grandmother, Diane gave of herself freely in every way. From her beautiful creative writing and humble spirit, Diane always put others before herself, never looking for recognition. If someone was in need, Diane was there to help. She was the ultimate caretaker. She diligently cared for her husband, father and father-in-law through their illnesses, always with a steady hand in life’s most challenging moments.

Daine loved her children and grandchildren immensely and took great pride in having a close knit, loving family. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, and ultimately proud of the people they have become. As the cornerstone of her family, she will be remembered for the unwavering commitment and quiet strength she offered every day.
