SALEM – Mrs. Dominga Alvarez 81, of Jackson Heights, Queens, New York, wife of Perfecto Perez, died peacefully, February 4th, 2024 at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, New York.
Born in Maimon, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Ulise Vizcaino and Ana Luisa Alvarez. She was raised and educated in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to New York on Febraury 6th, 1970, where she has since resided. She loved New York.
Mr. Alvarez had been employed with a Professional Office Cleaning Company having been in charge of taking care of the corporate offices for the National Hockey League - NHL.
Dominga was devoted to her family and often visited them in Salem, Massachusetts. She loved to spend her time fishing with her nephews and nieces. She was quick to laugh and joke. She was especially close to her sister, Barbara and her nieces and nephews. She was an avid dancer, cutting a rug and spending the night on the dance floor. She will be deeply missed.
Dominga is survived by her husband, Perfecto, her sister, Barbara and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was the sister of the late Esperanza, Romana, Franscisca, Hilaro, Ulalio, Catedral and Manuel.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem, Saturday, Feb. 10th at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, North St., Salem.
