Dorothy "Dottie"
A. (Bozek) Fisher
August 21, 1954 – June 2, 2024
SALEM - Mrs. Dorothy A. (Bozek) Fisher, 69, of Salem, beloved wife of John P. Fisher, passed away on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 at Salem Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Stella J. (Kocialka) Bozek. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School. Dorothy continued her education at Northeastern University receiving an Associate's Degree in Accounting.
A dedicated accountant, Dorothy worked for several years for Parker Brother Games in Salem and later for IBM in Burlington. Her strong work ethic coupled with her meticulous attention to detail, Dorothy was often sought after for her expertise in her field.
Dorothy valued kindness, integrity, and lived life on her terms. Throughout her life she was a pillar of strength for her family. Her supportive nature and willingness to offer guidance will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind. Dorothy cherished spending time with her grandchildren, accompanying them in their various activities and celebrating their many milestones. An avid reader and talented cook, Dottie found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was truly happiest surrounded by her devoted husband, her sisters, brother, children and grandchildren. She will deeply missed by them.
Surviving Dorothy is her husband, John Fisher, with whom she shared 32 years of marriage, her sons, Scott Fisher and his wife, Marlene of Salem and Johnny Fisher and his wife, Joni of Fresno, CA, her grandchildren, Anthony, Madison, Caitlyn, Carli, Jake, Brett, Benjamin and Isla, her sisters, Joanne Perreault and her husband, William of Salem, Stephanie Nicholson of Salem, Jane Bozek of Salem and Edward Bozek and his wife, Joanne of Florida, her sister-in-law, Patti Bozek of North Andover and many nieces and nephews. Dottie didn't want any formal services so I would like to take this time to open our home and sit and share stories and memories with all of you who knew and loved her as much as I did.
