DANVERS – Elaine Barbara (Porter) Green, 83, of Revere, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, at Hunt Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Johnny L. Green. Elaine and Johnny were married 54 years when he passed away in July 2021.

Born in Boston, Elaine was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Russell) Porter. She was raised and educated in Revere and graduated from Revere High School, Class of 1960. She continued her education at Junior College in Boston. Elaine later devoted her life to caring for her family. Alongside her husband Johnny, they opened their hearts and home as foster parents, offering love and stability to children in need.

Elaine had a creative soul. She found joy in painting, writing, and crafts, all of which she pursued with a zest that was uniquely hers. She also had a quick wit which was spontaneous and brightened the lives of those around her. She especially cherished movie outings with her sister Janet. This treasured tradition offered camaraderie, pleasure, and warmth.

Elaine is survived by her sister Janet (Porter) Gillis of Rowley, her brothers James Porter and his wife Margaret of Lakeville, and Harry Porter and his wife Diane of Alpharetta, GA, as well as several loving nieces and nephews, and extended family.
