Eleanor J.
(Dzuineski) Niciewsky
October 17, 1932 – March 1, 2021
DANVERS – Mrs. Eleanor J. (Dzuineski) Niciewsky 88, of Danvers, beloved wife of Leo Niciewsky, passed peacefully, Monday, March 1st, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Esther (Smagula) Dzuineski. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School. During her high school years, Eleanor was a Drum Majorette for the Peabody High Marching Band.
Mrs. Niciewsky devoted her life to her family. She took great pride in providing a warm, welcoming and loving home for her husband, children and her grandchildren. She was truly the ultimate "Mom", supporting and encouraging her children in all of their endeavors. Upon the birth of her grandchildren, she was first in line to babysit and show them the love and care she held for them. She was a terrific "Nanny" and truly devoted to her family.
A resident of the Town of Danvers for over 60 years, Eleanor's Catholic faith was very important to her. With an outgoing and affable personality, she made friends easily, endearing her self to many. She had many dear lifelong friends who meant the world to her. Everyone was always welcome to come in for coffee; she was always looking to make new connections and this is truly one of her hallmarks. She relished her time gardening and wintering in Naples, Florida. Above all else, her love for her husband and family will be her everlasting legacy.
Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Leo Niciewsky of Danvers, her daughters, Joy Gilman of Newburyport, Donna Bellino and her husband, Bill of Georgetown, Faith Barringer and her husband, Robert of Boxford and Carol Jefferson and her husband, Bruce of Kennsington, NH, her grandchildren, Scott Gilman and his wife, Lydia, Mark Gilman and his wife, Tina Chu, Christopher Bellino and his fiancé, Lillee Tissot, Laura Bellino and her fiancé Stephen Vaughan and Julia Barringer, her great grandchildren, her brother, Ronald Dzuineski of Casselberry, FL and several nieces and nephews.
