LYNN – Mr. Eliud Vega, 59, of Lynn, formerly of Salem, beloved husband of Ana Maria (Marquez) Vega, died peacefully October 1st, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Carmelo Vega and Olga Iris Santos. He was raised and educated in Puerto Rico and as young man immigrated to the Untied States moving to Chicago. In the 1970's he moved to Massachusetts and made the North Shore his home residing in Salem and Lynn for many years.

Mr. Vega had been employed with The Hall Company for over 20 years.

A loving husband, father and grandfather, Eliud enjoyed spending his time working on cars and computers. He loved fishing, Chinese food and playing cards with family and friends.

Faith was an important part of his life and he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved and will be deeply missed.

Eliud is survived by his wife, Ana Maria Marquez of Lynn, his children, Miguel Angel Vega of Everett and Eliana Vega of Malden, his 18 Grandchildren, his sister, Margarita Vega, his brothers, Carmelo Vega Jr and Juan Vega and several nieces, nephews and extended family. He was the father of the late Eliud Vega Jr and Carmello Vega and brother of the late Israel Vega.
