Frazier
September 11, 1921 – June 16, 2023
BEVERLY – Mr. Ernest E. Frazier, 101, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 16th, 2023 at Kaplan Family Hospice House, surrounded by his loving family. He was raised and educated in Saugus, before moving to Lynn.
Mr. Frazier worked as welder in the super charger department in General Electric before enlisting in the United States Army to serve in WW2. In August of 1944 he shipped out to England, where he was a ground troop and talented sharp shooter apart of the 26th infantry regiment, 1st infantry division. He traveled through France on his way into Germany. While in Germany he was wounded in combat on the western front, leading to his honorable discharge and distinguished honor as a Purple Heart recipient.
After his return to the states, Ernest married his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Paige) Frazier and they began to raise their family. He began working for the State of Massachusetts, in the Public Works Department, and the Danvers State Hospital until his retirement in 1978. Ernest enjoyed boating and fishing. He has a caring heart, and loved working on cars and helping his neighbors whenever he could.
Ernest is survived by his 7 children; Shirleyan Innis, Brenda Tuttle, Druedell Hall, Georgia Gongas, Harriet Day, Ernest A. Frazier, and Elizabeth Delaney, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great granddaughters. In addition to his beloved wife, Elizabeth Frazier, he is preceded in death by his 6 older sisters.
ARRANGEMENT: Relatives and friends are invited to his visiting hours which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) DANVERS on Tuesday, June 27th from 4 to 7 P.M. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton, on Wednesday, June 28th at 11AM.
