PEABODY – Mr. Fernand D. Talbot 94, of Brooksby Village, Peabody, beloved husband of Marie A. (Lash) Talbot, died peacefully, Wednesday, April 20 ^th , 2022, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA.

Born in Fall River, MA, Fernand was the son of the late Ovide and Emma (Fluet) Talbot. He was raised and educated in Fall River, was a graduate of Durfee Technical High School, and earned his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at UMass - Dartmouth.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II.

As an engineer, Fernand Talbot had a varied and successful career. He had been employed with Glen L. Martin Company, Transitron, Sylvania and Teradyne Connection Systems.  He was widely respected in his profession over the course of his career.

Mr. and Mrs. Talbot were 26-year residents of Peterborough, NH and had moved to Salem, S.C. for many years after retirement. Since 2006, they have resided at Brooksby Village in Peabody, MA. Dedicated to his family, faith and country, Fernand will be deeply missed.

Fernand is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marie A. (Lash) Talbot of Peabody, his daughters, Denise Talbot of Northborough, MA, Lisa Talbot of Charlestown, MA and Catherine Talbot of San Francisco, CA, his son, Matthew Talbot of St. Albans, VT, his grandchildren, Adam and Emily Genga and is predeceased by his granddaughter Maisie Talbot.  He is also survived by his sister, Pauline Charest and her husband, Roger Charest of Fall River, MA and three nephews Marc, Brian, and Jeffrey Charest.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held, graveside, at the National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA (Buzzards Bay) on Cape Cod, on Friday, June 17 ^th at 1:15 P.M. Please meet at the cemetery by 1 P.M.
