Obituary

LYNN – Mrs. Florence T. (Staniszewski) Piccola, 98 of Lynn, beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Piccola, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19th, 2024 at Hathorne Hill in Danvers with her loving family by her side.

Born in Peabody, Florence was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Koberski) Staniszewski. Raised and educated in Peabody, Florence was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1942. She continued her education receiving her secretarial certificate.

Florence began a professional career as a secretary, working for Korn Leather Company and later for General Electric in Lynn. Later in life as she became a mother, Florence devoted her time to providing a warm and loving home for her husband and daughters.

A woman who loved to stay active and involved herself in numerous activities, Florence valued spending time cross country skiing and did so, well into her 80's; she also practiced holistic medicine and was a Reiki Master cherishing the importance of good health, she also enjoyed spending her time making jewelry and doing leather work. Florence loved being around others and was extremely social, she enjoyed figure skating with the Cronies Club in Peabody and was a devoted Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield. Selfless in her love, Florence gave back to others by volunteering at Adoption Connection in Peabody, helping those who chose to find their birth mothers. Florence touched many lives in her 98 years and will be deeply missed by all.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Jane Fandel and her husband, Henry Jr. of Groveland and Pamela Leonard and her husband, Daniel of Boxford, her grandchildren, Patrick Fandel and Katheryn Casey and her husband, Joseph; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Evelyn and Juliet Casey and brother, Stanley Stanford and his wife, Lynn of Huntington Beach, CA and many nieces and nephews. Florence was the sister of the late Lee Hilenski, Alexandra Zwiercan, Alice Paskowski, Frances Moss, and Henry Stanford.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Florence's funeral service which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple Street, (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Saturday, January 27th at 11:30 A.M. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, 134 Broadway, Lynn. Visiting hours prior to her service from 10 to 11:30 A.M.
