SALEM – Mrs. Frances Julia (Senkowski) Orlando, 87, of Salem, beloved wife of the late Paul F. Orlando, passed away peacefully on November 6th, 2026, surrounded by the comfort of her loving family.

Born and raised in Salem, Frances was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Julia (Savlon) Senkowski. From a young age, she was raised by her beloved aunt, the late Mary Lubas. A proud lifelong resident of the city she loved, she graduated from Salem High School with the Class of 1956, forming lifelong roots within the community.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Frances balanced her commitment to her family with various workplaces over the years. Early in life, she lent her talents to the historic Daniel Low and Company and the iconic Parker Brothers Games in Salem. After dedicating herself to raising her sons, she re-joined the workforce as a compassionate school aide with the Salem School Department, later greeting customers with a warm smile as a sales associate at Kmart. For Frances, every job was an opportunity to connect with people and help others.

Above all, Frances was the heart of her family. A devoted and loving wife to her beloved Paul for over 50 years, their marriage was a true partnership built on devotion and loyalty. She brought that same unwavering loyalty to her friendships and community. A woman of deep and abiding faith, she was an active communicant of the former St. John the Baptist Polish Church in Salem and a proud member of the St. John’s Polish Church Booster Club and the Shrine of Divine Mercy.

In her free time, Frances found joy in the creative arts. She was an avid knitter, pouring love into every stitch, and thoroughly enjoyed ceramics. But of all her roles in life, her favorite and most cherished was being a mother and grandmother. Family was always paramount to her world. Her warmth, gentle kindness, and steady presence will be forever treasured and deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Frances is survived by her loving sons, Stephen Orlando of Salem and David Orlando and his wife, Denise of Beverly; her adoring grandchildren, Talia and Nina Orlando, who brought immense joy to her life; her sister-in-law, Rita Senkowski of Kissimmee, FL; and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by her dear brother, the late Joseph Senkowski and his daughter, Linda and her cousin, Helen Walker and husband, Arthur.
