DANVERS – Francis Augustine Missett of Danvers, beloved husband of Veronica (Quinn) Missett, passed away on January 8, 2026, at Beverly Hospital. Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Francis and Ruth (Dwan) Missett.
Francis was primarily raised and educated in Beverly, he attended St. Peter’s Boys High School in Gloucester until its closure and then went on to attend and graduate from Beverly High School. After graduating he proudly served in the United States Army. He later attended Boston University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. He took great pride in his work as a Senior Security Consultant and at home being a handyman. He always had a project to work on that brought him fulfillment whether it was repairing cars, woodworking, or installing windows and fences.
As a dedicated sports fan, some of his happiest memories were made on local fields. He loved coaching and cheering on his children’s teams, James in little league baseball and Ruthie on the soccer fields. Francis found joy in watching sports and sharing it with others.
Francis cherished the time he spent with his family at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire, remembering all the memories he made there as a child, while creating new memories with his own. Francis also greatly enjoyed many family trips to the West of Ireland and was proud of his Irish heritage.
He adored his loyal golden retriever, Maggie Maye, who was never far from his side. Maggie brought him comfort, companionship, and countless smiles, and the bond they shared was truly special.
In addition to his parents, Francis is predeceased by his sister, Christine Missett.
Francis is survived by his beloved wife, Veronica (Quinn) Missett of Danvers, his daughter, Ruthie Missett of Danvers, his son, James Missett of Danvers, his sisters, Maureen Baril and her husband Marc, and Kathleen Mosco and her husband Jim, his brother, James Missett and his wife Kathy, five nephews, and one niece.
