SALEM- Mr. Frank N. Clark 91 of Salem, beloved husband of June (Wells) Clark died Tuesday, June 18th, 2013 surrounded by his family. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Elmer L. Clark and Helen E. (Knight) (Clark) Smith . He was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. He continued his education after returning from serving his country at Northeastern University. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II. He was a Naval Radio Operator serving state side and in the Pacific and earned many medals for valor. Mr. Clark had been employed for over 45 years with the General Electric Company in the Measurements Department at the West Lynn plant until the time of his retirement. A love of radio operation born during his days with the Navy, Frank continued his passion for communication with others through Ham Radio. His handle was W1OAY and he was a long time member of the Radio Relay League. An active and outstanding Mason, Mr. Clark was a member of the William Sutton Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Saugus. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Boston and a longtime member of the Allepo Shrine Temple in Wilmington. He dedicated his time as a member of the Legion of Honor at the Shrine. He had a passion for model trains, yet above all else he was dedicated to his loving wife and family. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his loving wife of 70 years, Frank is survived by his son Frank N. Clark Jr. and his wife Trina of Nashua, N.H., his grandchildren, Christopher Clark of Nashua, N.H., Jennifer Hamblett and her husband David of Nashua, N.H., Jonathan Clark of Nashua, Amanda Clark of Portland, Maine, Emily Clark of Nashua, N.H. and Benjamin Clark of Nashua, N.H. his eight great grandchildren, his sisters, Barbara Townsend of Brentwood, N.H. and Arlene Deutsch of Seminole, Fl and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem, Monday, June 24th at 9:15 A.M. followed by his funeral Mass in St. James Church, Federal St., Salem at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours Sunday, June 23rd from 5 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Frank's memory to the Shriners Hospital Transportation Fund, C/O Alleppo Shriners 99 Fordham Road, Wilmington, MA.
