NEWBURYPORT - Frank T. Coughlin, 44, passed away on June 15th, 2026 at Mass General Hospital in Boston. While holding hands with his wife and ever supportive partner of 22 years, Clarice (Candy), Frank unfortunately succumbed to congestive heart failure. A fight, he and his loved ones desperately wanted him to win.
Frank was born in Boston on September 19, 1981, to Nancy Moglia and the late Francis Coughlin. He grew up on Grant Street in Beverly, where he formed many lifelong friendships. As a laborer with Builders Wreckers Local 1421, Frank was never afraid of hard work and took pride in doing work that few others could.
Frank was a force of nature with a larger-than-life personality that people just couldn't resist. He was razor-sharp, highly observant, and possessed a mischievous, fun-loving spirit. Frank had a bright and kind smile that could light up the darkest room, the kind of infectious grin that would spread across his face and make you instantly forgive whatever mischief preceded it. Although, beyond mischief and charisma, he was fiercely loyal; if you were lucky enough to have Frankie in your corner, you had a friend for life. With so much love left to give he desperately wanted a second chance at life, holding onto a sincere wish to live up to the immense potential that anyone who ever met him knew was always there.
In addition to his wife, Candy of Newburyport, Frank is survived by his mother, Nancy Moglia of Rochester NH, his daughters, Jennavive (14) and Annalece (11) of Newburyport, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Frank was preceded in death by his younger sister, Nadene Logan of Rochester, NH and aunt, Louise Galli of Marshfield.
Though his time was far too short, Frank leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love. Those who knew him will carry his spirit with them always and remember him not for how he left this world, but for the joy, friendship, and love he brought to it.
