I PSWICH -Frank Gigliotti 95, of Ipswich, formerly of Wakefield, beloved husband of Ruth G. (Little) Gigliotti, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born in Winchester he was the son of the late Carmino and Vincenza (Generico) Gigliotti. He was raised and educated in Winchester and was a graduate of Winchester High School.
An honorably discharged veteran Mr. Gigliotti proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Staff Sargent.
Following his discharge from the service, Frank, along with his brother, opened Gigliotti Auto Body. Frank spent his life dedicated to his craft as the owner of his auto body shop, where his big-heart and soft-spoken manner earned him the respect and admiration of many. He approached every challenge with a smile and mastered each task as they came along. Frank was renowned for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, his expertise and honesty kept his customers coming back time after time.
A wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend, family was the center of Frank's life. He found great joy and was truly happiest when surrounded by his family involved in their many activities and celebrating their many milestones. Frank found great solace on the ocean and enjoyed boating and fishing and when on land you could find him dancing with his favorite partner, Ruth. He was an all-around fun guy and will be forever remembered for his easy smile, willingness to help and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife Ruth, Frank is survived by his children, Michael Gigliotti of Reading, Michael O'Shea of Georgia, David O'Shea of Salem, Richard O'Shea of Salem, Charles O'Shea of Wenham, Maryann O'Shea Salem, Linda O'Shea of Peabody and Judith O'Shea of Peabody, his 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, his sister Lenny Cannon and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Anna (Santry) Gigliotti, and his siblings, Catherine and John.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to Frank's funeral service which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 6:30 PM.
