Obituary

DANVERS – Franklin M. Neal, 87, of Danvers, loving husband of 50 years to the late Marjory (Earle) Neal, died peacefully, March 27, 2025 at Kaplan Family Hospice House. Born in Brunswick, Maine, he was the son of the late Franklin B. and Dorothy (Martin) Neal.

Frank was raised and educated in Danvers, a graduate of Danvers High School. Following graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps, serving honorably for four years, including a deployment to Japan. His commitment to service and passion for learning led him to Northeastern University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Frank dedicated his career to the field of computer technology, working with various companies.

A man of unwavering kindness and resilience, Frank stepped into the role of a loving father when he married Marjory, embracing her four children after the passing of her first husband. His legacy as a devoted husband, father, and the world's best Pappy is etched in the hearts of those he loved.

Frank was known for that twinkle in his eye, his playful personality and easy-going nature; nothing ever seemed to bother him. He and Marjory traveled after their retirement making homes in Tamworth, NH and Rockport, MA. The two of them especially enjoyed their warmth of a winter home in Florida with numerous grandchildren visits. Eventually they came back to Danvers to be close to their family and friends. Over the last few years Frank enjoyed life's simple pleasures, sitting in the sun, a Sam & Joe's pizza or sharing his pocket full of dog biscuits with his four legged friends.

Frank is survived by his children, Debra Lyons and friend Michael Moody of Danvers, Stephen Boudreault and his wife Emily of Georgetown, James Boudreault and his partner Gary Johnson of Wilmington, and Mark Boudreault and his wife Tanya of Tewksbury, his brother, Carl Neal and his wife Pam of Rhode Island, his brothers in law, Herman Earle and his wife Kathy of Florida, his Aunt Betty, six grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many extended family members up and down the east coast from Maine to Florida. We will remember Frank for his calming presence, his love for his family, and his serene spirit that touched all who had the privilege of knowing him.
