PEABODY - Ms. Gail (Illingworth) Pierson 85 of Peabody, died peacefully August 19, 2021 after a five-year battle with lung and brain cancer.

Born in Lynn, July 21, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Martha (McManus) and Frederick Illingworth. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School and was employed as a secretary at General Electric in Lynn and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Gail was a die-hard Red Sox fan, never missing a game and attending many home games as well as traveling to away games. She was an avid skier, enjoyed boating and spending time at the beach.

Gail was predeceased by her son, James I. Pierson and siblings Ruth Larkin, Marion Sykes, Charles Illingworth, Ann Raney and John Illingworth.

ARRANGEMENTS: At Gail's request, her funeral services were privately held. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the O'Donnell Cremations - Funerals - Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers.
