PEABODY- Gail (Pelletier) Woodward, 82 of Peabody, formerly of Danvers, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Rosewood Nursing Center with her family by her side.
Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Muriel (MacDonald) Pelletier. She was raised and educated in Danvers and attended Danvers public schools.
Gail had been employed as a dietary aide at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Danvers for many years. Throughout her career she remained dedicated, kind and generous to the staff and patients she served.
Active in her community, Gail was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She was a member and volunteer of the Friends of the Peabody Institute Library and was an active member at the Torigian Center in Peabody.
Gail will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.
Surviving Gail is her son, Douglas C. Woodward of Danvers, Meredith Renee Gates and her husband Barry of Beverly, her grandson, Patrick Gates of Beverly, her sister Susan Ortins of Danvers and brother, Jeffrey Pelletier of Inver Grove, MN and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Marilyn Norwood, Nancy Marshall, Betty Kirk, Joyce Piwonski and Ronald Pelletier.
ARRANGMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to Gail’s funeral service to be held at O’Donnell’s Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 11 A.M. Burial in Holten’s Burial Ground Cemetery, Holten St., Danvers. A brief visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11 A.M. Expressions of Sympathy may be made in Gail’s memory to Friends of Peabody Institute Library, 15 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923 danverslibrary.org.
