SOUTH HAMILTON - Genevieve Ann (Kwiecinski) Hansen, 96 of South Hamilton, formerly of Marblehead, beloved wife of the late H. Harold Hansen, died Thursday, September 8, 2016 at her home.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rosa (Kazmievczky) Kwiecinski. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of St. Michael's Elementary School and St. Mary's Girls High School of Lynn.
A loving and dedicated wife and mother, Genevieve took great pride in providing a loving, warm and immaculate home for her family. She supported her family in every capacity and truly enjoyed her ability to prepare a wonderful home cooked meal for her loved ones.
Devoted to her faith, Mrs. Hansen was a devout Catholic and an active parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Marblehead. She was a member and past President of the Rotary Ann's of Lynn. She was a founder of the "Golden Girls" and traveled all through New England supporting her children, grandchildren , and great grandchildren and friends at their sporting and artistic events. Family was always paramount in her life and she was truly proud of all of the accomplishments of her loved ones. She will be deeply missed.
Genevieve is survived by her daughters, Elaine F. D'Orio and her husband Frank of Marblehead, Stephanie Rice and her husband William of Marblehead, her son, Harold L. Hansen and wife Kathryn of Newburyport, her grandchildren, Chris, Eric and Brendt D'Orio, Elise and Brooke Parker and Jamie Hansen, her six great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was also the sister of Felix, and Walter Kwiecinski and Stephanie Dembowski.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral services were privately held. Assisting the family with the arrangements was the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple Stl, (Rte 62) Danvers.
