DANVERS-Mr. George S. Kingsley, 66, of Danvers, beloved husband of Linda P. Leonard, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday January 11, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late John H. and Theresa H. (Wroblewski) Kingsley. He was raised in Salem, attending St. Mary's Elementary School followed by St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers. George received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and his Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mr. Kingsley worked as a Chemical Engineer with Energy Resource Company and then Arthur D. Little and finally CF Systems. In the 1990's George began tutoring, specializing in high school Math and Science, as well as test prep. He was also a computer instructor at the Middleton House of Correction.

A loving husband and father, George cared deeply about his family. He was very proud of their many achievements and milestones and was steadfast in his support for them. He enjoyed making things to bring people happiness, and the satisfaction of doing a job right. He was a gentleman who could do anything, fix anything and could often be found helping others with their projects.

A longtime resident of the Town of Danvers, George was a member of the Maple Street Congregational Church family and was a devoted member of their choir. He enjoyed sailing and was a longtime member of the Jubilee Yacht Club. He was well respected in the community and could always be counted on to have the right tool for the job for anyone who needed it. He was loved and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Surviving George, in addition to his wife Linda with whom he shared 33 years of marriage, is his son, James Leonard Kingsley and his wife Janell of Worcester, his brothers-in-law, Michael Shough of San Francisco and Lee Leonard and his wife Anita of Byfield, his sister-in-law, Maureen Kingsley of Londonderry, NH, his niece, Ashley Leonard of Byfield, his nephews, Justin Leonard and his wife Jen of Plum Island, Mark Shough of San Francisco, John Kingsley and his wife Mei-Lyn of Wayland, Craig Kingsley and his wife Christine of Londonderry, NH, and David Kingsley and his wife Kelly of Derry, NH, and numerous grandnieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS-A celebration of George's life will be held at Maple Street Congregational Church on Saturday, February 8th, at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will be private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in George's memory to Maple Street Congregational Church Music Ministry.
