Georgette Louise
(Pelletier) Kielbasa
April 1, 1927 – July 18, 2019
DANVERS - Mrs. Georgette Louise (Pelletier) Kielbasa, 92 of Danvers formerly of Salem, beloved wife of 57 years to the late John S. Kielbasa passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Marcel and Irene (Dupuis) Pelletier. Educated in South Berwick, Maine, Georgette attended St Josephs Academy Boarding School. Upon graduation, Georgette continued as an Instructor for St Josephs and developed her love of teaching. Devoted to children's education, Georgette founded and owned Guardian Angel Kindergarten in Peabody and for many years worked within the Peabody Elementary School System as a substitute teacher.
She shared her love of Music as Organist for St. Joseph's Polish Church in Peabody and "filled-in" at other Parishes whenever called upon. She also sang for weddings and enjoyed her time as a member of the Paul Madore Chorale. Always up for a new adventure, Georgette loved to travel and explore. Before her husband's passing, they resided in both Maine and Florida and with their motor-home made trips to Québec, Canada and across the US. Much of it was to connect with family and continue her avocation of genealogy research into her and her husband's families. Before the age-of-computers, she would find the 'lost' grandmother, uncle or sibling for anyone who would ask. This made for good conversation at the family reunions she organized every few years.
Georgette was not afraid to take a risk. As of French-Canadian descent and fluent in French; she fulfilled her life's dream and traveled to France on her own, to visit the locations she had heard and learned about while growing up. She loved to live her life to the fullest.
She will be fondly remembered and missed by her family and friends. Georgette is survived by her sons, William J. Kielbasa and his wife Helen of Danvers, Donald Kielbasa and his wife Jeannie of Barrington, NH and Thomas Kielbasa and his wife Karen of San Antonio, TX, her 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late, Bertha Savageau, Lorraine Faulk and Elizabeth Sinclair.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Georgette's funeral Service which will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers on Tuesday, July 23rd at 10 A.M.
