DANVERS – Mr. Giulio DiNardo 96, of Danvers, a former resident of Boston's North End for over 60 years, beloved husband of Mary (Scalfani) DiNardo, died peacefully December 23 ^rd , 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Sant'Eufemia a Maiella, Italy, he was the son of the late Loreto and Philomena (D'Amico) DiNardo. He was raised and educated in Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1954, settling in the North End of Boston. A place he would call home for many years, until recently moving to Danvers.

Mr. DiNardo worked in the transportation construction industry for 30 years until the time of his retirement in 1986. Throughout his professional career, he built many of the bridges, tunnels and roads throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He was a hardworking man, dedicated to his profession and proud of his career.

Giulio was the one with silver in his hair and gold in his heart; he was an unbelievable cook, story teller, role model and protector, who sacrificed his own needs for those of his family. He truly could fix anything and grow any type of plant; he was tough on the outside and soft on the inside. Giulio loved to travel back to Italy where he would work on his farm. He was always at peace working with his hands, gardening was in his heart. But most importantly, he had a deep love for his wife, son, grandchildren and great granddaughter. He will be deeply missed and always remembered for putting a smile on the faces and hearts of those he loved.

Giulio is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary (Scalfani) DiNardo of Danvers, his son, Loreto "Larry" Mario DiNardo of Danvers, his grandson, Christopher DiNardo and his wife, Marissa of Danvers, his granddaughter, Michelle DiNardo of Danvers, his great granddaughter, Cecelia, his sister, Elda Murano of Italy and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was the father-in-law of the late Debra Anne (Puopolo) DiNardo.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) DANVERS, Thursday, Dec. 29 ^th at 11 A.M. followed by his Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours Wednesday, Dec. 28 ^th from 4 to 7 P.M.
