BEVERLY – Mr. Gordon E. Wiley, 58, passed peacefully on August 8 th , 2020 surrounded by his loving wife, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.

Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Roger and H. Joy (Marshall) Wiley. He was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Mr. Wiley had been employed for many years in the HVAC Industry and more recently had been employed as a Custodian in the West Newbury School District.

He lived life to the fullest until his final day, and took nothing for granted. Just 3 weeks before he passed, he held a celebration of life party at his home in Freeman Township, Maine, a place that he took so much pride in sharing with family and friends in his last days of his battle with cancer. There was a band, great food, dancing and laughs all day long. He didn't stop smiling that day, and later told his sister it was the best day of his life.

He was a devoted husband, brother, uncle and cousin who was a passionate Boston Sports fan, loved the out of doors, Ice Fishing and taking care of and spending time at his home in Maine surrounded by family and friends. Family and friends were at the center of his life and he would do anything to help them if they were in need.

He knew he was leaving behind such wonderful people, most notably his love and wife, Pamela (O'Connell) Wiley of Beverly, his sisters, Alyson Roe and her husband, Bob of Essex and Sandra Pasquarelli and her husband, Peter of Hamilton, brothers, Skip Wiley and his wife, Christine of Danvers, Rich Wiley and his wife, Heather of Danvers and Rob Wiley and his wife, Jayne of Beverly and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, his mother-in-law, Pauline A. O'Connell, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, James and Sharon O'Connell and Joseph O'Connell and many friends.

He was sadly predeceased by his son, Jason Wiley and his best friend, Elise, His father-in-law James P. O'Connell and sister-in-law, Paula Moody. He will be missed so very much by those that loved him.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service which will be held graveside, at St. Mary's Cemetery, North St., Salem, Friday, August 14 th at 10 A.M. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers.
