TOPSFIELD - Dr. Harry Carl Clemson PhD 83, of Topsfield, beloved husband of Gracia (White) Clemson, died peacefully Monday, October 16, 2017 at home. Born in Pawtucket, R.I., he was the son of the late Harry C. and Elizabeth G. Clemson. He was raised and educated in Pawtucket and was a graduate of Pawtucket High School. He continued his education at the University of Rhode Island, where he earned his Bachelor's degree. He continued his education at the University of New Hampshire where he received his Master's Degree before completing his Post Doctorate at Yale University. Dr. Clemson had been employed as a Clinical Chemist. He had been associated for many years with Northeastern University and more recently with Lynn Hospital. He served as an officer for several years in the American Association of Clinical Chemists. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Harry was devoted to his family. He was a long-time resident of the Town of Topsfield. Harry was active in Boy Scouts as an assistant Scoutmaster and as a coach in the Topsfield Little League. He enjoyed sailing and was a life member of the Jubilee Yacht Club in Beverly. Harry is survived by his loving wife Gracia (White) Clemson of Topsfield, his sons, Harry Clemson II and his wife Lina of Maryland, Christian Henry Clemson of Topsfield and Eric Graf Clemson and his wife Kimberly of Topsfield, his granddaughter Emily E. Clemson.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in the Congregational Church of Topsfield, East Common St., Topsfield, Friday, Oct. 20th at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield. Visiting hours Thursday, Oct. 19th from 4 to 8 P.M..
