MIDDLETON – Mrs. Helen Mary (Stapleton) Cappello 98, of Middleton, died Sunday, December 25 ^th , 2022 at Ledgewood Nursing Home in Beverly.

Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen (O'Brien) Stapleton. She was raised and educated in East Boston and attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and graduated from Fitton High School in East Boston. She continued her education at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, M.I.T., graduating with her Bachelors of Science Degree in Electronics.

Mrs. Cappello retired from the Hood Milk Company.

A long-time resident of the Town of Middleton, Helen's Catholic faith was central in her life and she volunteered her time with the St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. Agnes Church in Middleton. She will be deeply missed.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Kelly LaCava and her husband, Gene of Hull, her son, John Robert Cappello of Stoneham, her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexander, John, Stephanie, Laura and Adam as well as several great grandchildren and extended family.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral services are private. Burial in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton.
