GEORGETOWN – Mr. Howard Robert "Howie" Jensen of Georgetown, devoted husband of Dorothy M. (Aiken) Jensen passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at AdviniaCare in Newburyport. He was 95 years old.

Born in Waterford, Connecticut, Howard was the son of the late Olaf and Gertrude (Shaw) Jensen. He was raised by his grandmother and educated in Canada and as a teen, moved to Massachusetts.

Throughout his entire life, Howie had a passion for automobiles, especially vintage cars. In his early professional career, he worked alongside his brother Robert in their autobody repair shop, working on many vehicles often referred for their expert level of detail. When they closed their business, Howard continued working alongside his brother for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Danvers State Hospital Laundry Department until the time of his retirement.

With his small stature and a gregarious and outgoing personality, Howie endeared himself to many. He was extremely talented when it came to autobody repairs and was particularly proud of restoring his 1931 Model A Ford and 41 Hudson. Always staying busy, Howie enjoyed attending car shows, spending time with his family and relishing in his many friendships. His positive attitude and drive to entertain and make others laugh will be fondly remembered by many who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, Dorothy, Howard is survived by his step-daughters, Julie Powers of Georgetown and Cynthia Morin of Danvers, beloved grandchildren, Daisy Powers of Danvers, Brody Morin of Danvers, Austin Morin of Danvers, Meredith Belben of Colorado and Susan Belben Fall of Beverly; great-grandchildren, Delilah, Dyllan and Dakota Fall; dear friends, neighbors and beloved cat, Penny. Howard was the brother of the late Paul Jensen and his twin, Robert Howard Jensen.
